Considerations for Telehealth
I provide Psychological Therapy in-person as well as high quality therapy via video calls or phone when in-person sessions are not available.

Whether I meet with you in-person or via secure video-conferencing, I will offer you 1-1 therapy in a non-judgmental, safe and confidential space to help you express your thoughts and feelings and reflect on your emotional difficulties.

Considerations for Online Sessions
-
All video consultations are provided via zoom, a secure platform, which allows for peer-to-peer calls which are fully encrypted.
-
It is a free service.
-
Online sessions may be more appealing for some, as it will allow you to fit therapy into your schedule or it may be your only way of seeing someone.
-
Some people find it easier to be vulnerable when they have therapy that isn't face-to-face.
-
All you need is a computer or internet enabled smart device, a camera and a microphone, speakers or a headset.
-
You will need a reliable internet connection.
-
At times a telephone consultation will be more appropriate due to unforeseen glitches.

Setting for Online Sessions
-
Given that I will be seeing you in your own environment, it is important that you have a space that feels safe, where you are not going to overheard or distracted.
-
It may be good to let others in house know you are having a private meeting and not to interrupt you.
-
If that is not possible, you may be able to have sessions in a stationary car, or use headphones to increase your privacy.
-
I encourage patients to have 10 minutes prior to the session to get ready as well as allowing 10 minutes afterwards to wind down.
