Meet Monica - What to Expect
I have 27 years experience of working as a Clinical Psychologist, including 25 years in the Public Sector (including working with Children, Youth and Young Adults) in Australia, United Kingdom (NHS) and South Africa. I have worked with people across the life-span, presenting with a range of complex and diverse issues. I have held numerous Leadership positions and have worked at a Centre of Clinical Excellence, The Tavistock Clinic (UK).

What to Expect
I offer one or two consultation sessions where I will gain an understanding of your current concerns and decide on the most appropriate approach to meet your needs based on my training in a range of psychological therapies. I will ask you some questions to try and understand what is troubling you. If after the initial consultation, I feel that an alternative approach is required I will make that recommendation, and do my best to provide you with a referral. If we decide to work together, I will set up regular appointment times and decide whether to meet in-person or via video-conferencing or adopt a combination of both.
I am passionate about working with individuals presenting with a range of emotional, relational and clinical issues, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, navigating the challenges of becoming a parent, parenting difficulties and work related stress.
